but i dun care.. i wanna blog bout it..

okae, viva was BAD.. BAD BAD BAD :(
viva's an interview.. its like an oral test.. on the subject you just passed/failed..
its supposed to be chance.. a chance for you to impress the interviewer with your knowledge..
and if you're good.. you wont have to take the supplementary paper = re-examination
but.. if you suck.. like me, den yes, you will have to take the damn supp papers..
haii..

when i went to check the viva list on tues.. everyone was like so happy and excited for me..
yar.. i was one of the few pple that were given a chance at viva.. only 7 of us were selected for viva..
most of my frenz assumed that they got supp straight awae..
you get supp straight awae if you failed the pros very very badly..

anywae, my viva was at 2pm this afternoon..
and there were 3 other people with me at the same time slot..
i was the last to go in..
but yar.. i was talkin to the auntie in the waitin area..
she said that the interview usually takes 15-20 mins per person..
if ure good, it would be fast.. examiners impressed by you.. they let you off quickly..
if its slow, means its bad.. examiners think you're bad.. they keep throwin questions at you..
its a chance thgie.. more question = more chances to impress them..
yupp, everyone took bout 15mins.. the 2nd guy even better, he took like 10 mins ony..
but me? i think i took 20 mins.. or more??
see i'm so dead..

okae, so i enter the seminar room..
wah.. so scary !!!
there across the table.. sum angmoh guy = external examinar,
den dr martin lee = the renal lecturer
and prof hooi = cvs lecturer aka dean/head of physio dept..
anywae, prof hooi started the ball rollin..

prof hooi : are you nervous?
kerly : yes.. very nervous..
prof hooi : okae, so tell me why did you do so badly for this paper??
kerly : well, its poor time management.. blah blah blah... thats why i had to rush thru the last 2 questions..
prof hooi : sounds reasonable.. k, we'll give you a chance to answer those questions you did badly in..

yupp, WRONG MOVE...
so yes, i did rush thru the last 2 question coz i ran outta time..
but i did choose to do those questions last... coz i dint know how to do them in the first place !!!!
so in the end.. i was into a lot of shit.. a lot of shit i tell u..
you know i really sucked at endocrine and renal physio..
and yes.. they had to ask me all bout it for the entire interview..

so the angmoh started askin me bout endocrine stuffs...
tell me bout hormones and their receptors..
tell me bout growth hormones and IGF.. tell me bout cortisol..
tell me bout their metabolic pathwaes.. tell me bout target organs and their effects..
tell me EVERYTHING you know !!!!
crazy man.. how shud i know?? ok, maybe i'm shud to know those stuffs...
but how to think so quickly and give them all the answers at once??
i'm too used to starin at my blank page and den crappin out sum answer..
yupp.. so i ended up givin him crap answers...
and tellin him half the time "sorry, i dunno the answer to that"
very bad hor..

den the angmoh decided to be "nice" and move on to pregnancy
so tell me bout corpus luteum...
tell me wad hormones it produces.. tell me wad does it do..
tell me MORE MORE MORE !!!
wah.. damn sai lor.. coz i dint study pregnancy and stuffs at all !!!

finally, the angmoh was done..
dr martin lee's turn..
he started questionin me bout the kidney and stuffs..
and its so scary coz i cant crap..
he's a renal tutor... he knows his stuffs damn well !!!
so in the end... all i had was
"sorry, i dunno the answer to that"
argh.. i'm so dead.. so dead... boohoo..
i dun wanna take supp :(
