i hope clinics are fun !!

but now must wear work attire..
so sian.. so uncomfortable..
yest, i wore heels and my baby toes got blisters..
todae, i wore flats.. and my heels got SKINED !!!
oh, my poor feet !!!

anywae, i'm very pleased to say..
becoz of my $90 tangs voucher and $80 taka voucher..
redeemed from my UOB and shell account respectively..
i managed to buy 6 work tops, 2 work pants..
2 lovely ladies handbag.. and 2 pretty pairs of covered-toe shoes..
for only $250 !!!!

first dae of clinics was quite fun !!!
we had tutorial at 9am..
SCRUB-IN at 1030am..
and another tutorial at 430pm..

i came to school at 8am to study before my tutorial..
no choice, "browse" was sold out islandwide..
and i had to study coz apparently my prof will get mad if we dunno anything..
lesson turned out fine..
we even had hands-on on joo siang..
we were supposed to locate all the bones, muscles and organs in his neck..
we kept palpating.. until his entire neck was red !!!!

next, SCRUB-IN !!! it was very very fun !!!
we had to wear those ba-ju that the surgeons wear for surgery..
and we all looked damn funny !! dun we remind you of greys anatomy??

anywae, during scrubs..
we had to wash our hands like 3 times !!!
weng washed her hands with iodine !!!
and it make her hands yellow, like a jaundice patient !!!

and after washin our hands..
we had to put on the surgeon gown.. and gloves..
without dirtyin our hands.. and touchin the sterile parts of the gown..
looks and sounds easy.. but it was damn difficult !!!
all of us were strugglin to pull our gloves on !!!

and yar, my dae was fine until my 2nd tutorial !!!
that stupid doc was 30mins late for lesson..
and worst of all.. he made us stand throughout his 1hour-long lec !!!!
and i think he was quite mean to his patient..

see, he brought us to see this patient with acute pancreatitis..
she was a good example for teachin as we were doin upper GIT todae..
he greeted her.. but did not explain himself to her..
den asked us to gather around her.. amd started lecturing awae..

she wanted to sleep.. but couldnt coz we were all starin over her..
and the worst thing was.. his lecture did not concern her until the last 10mins..
so, she stayed up to watch us being lectured for 50mins !!!
so poor thing hor.. she was so bored that she even started stroking her teddy bear's head !!

standin up for a 1hour lec was a killer man !!!
cant you imagine..
stuffy wards + thick lab coat = hot, sweaty, irritated
late lecturer + soft voice = angry, cannot hear, dun understand, irritated
1hour of standing, tired legs + painful blisters = tired, wanna sit down, irritated

oh horrid !!
that guy shud have brought us to a seminar room for his 50mins lecture..
and den bring us to see the patients for hands-on after that wad !!
poor patient.. poor us :(
