nicky is a ex-vietnamese national badminton player.
so this time, when we visited, he called his frens along.
and so we managed to visit many many fun and cheap places !!!

first,
to all the temples and historical buildings in hanoi.

i think the vietnameses loves lakes and temple. everywhere's temples and pagoda with many many stories.
nicky even brought us to this countryside temple. and we went to visit the neighbouring agricultural field !!

and after all the sight-seeing.. it was shopping and eating time !!!
i love hanoi's food !!!
its really really different from singapore food.
and everything's so cheap !!
each item costs between 20cent to 60cents sing.
even thou nicky said that we're being cheated already,
we still think its awfully cheap !!!

hohohoh.
look at these cheap, yummay roadside food !!!
this is baked sweet potato !! very warm and yummay indeed !!

and the bestesty best fried banana i've eaten !! there's fried corns and potato too.
i dint try the corn but i heard its very tasty too :)

and dog meat satay !! we saw satay and it was selling for 20cent each.
very yummay meat, dun taste like chicken or pork or beef.
we walked down the streets further..
and saw many other stalls selling similar types of satay..
and very scarily, they were actually selling dog meat !!! look at this HUGE roasted dog on display !!
no wonder, you dun see much stray dogs on the street !!

and weird fruits from the street.

the vietnam people call this human milk. the fruit looks like sour sop inside, but the fruit is as milky as milk !!

very famous street, the entire street sells only fish !!
very yummay !
and we even celebrated mr heng's 37th birthdae there !!! and we got him damn drunk !!!

and i love the many many night markets.

there's this super huge weekend night market!!
only on during the weekends, fridae, saturadae and sundae nights.
loveliness to the max coz everything is so cheap. and they're really organised,
one entire street on shoes, one entire street on belts, etc.

apparently, these items are produced in vietnam..
and den exported for thailand to be sold in chatuchak, patpong night market, etc.
so can you imagine, how much cheap it is here !?!?
yes indeed, very very cheap !!!
and we all felt like kings and queens here !!

and the night market had alot of yummay food too !!!

and yummay ice kachang looking stalls that sell sweet local desserts.
home-made ice cream !
super-cheap 60cent bubble tea and fruit yogart !!

and becoz we have no more games.
we played drinking games with their cheap beer, wines and alcohols everynight!! a bottle of local beer cost 65cent sing,
a big bottle of tiger beer is sin$1.20,
a bottle of locally made french/australian wine is sin$6,
a bottle of volka hanoi is sin$2.20 !!
madness right??

anywae,sorry cyn for the late reply.
i just got back from vietnam,
went there for some silly badminton tournie.
oh, it was more like a holidae lah..
since we got kicked out so early !!!

oh anywae,
i did sign up for cheers open wad..
i played singles, doubles and mixed doubles leh.
crazyness right?
are you shocked???

eh, i saw your brother playing one night..
but dint see you there leh..
never see your parents too !!

anywae, its not me who wanted to play those games.
you know, i will never sign up for such games on my own right??
nus made me !!
it was supposed to be practice matches for the real deal in hanoi.

but yar, i dint go down for my singles game.
coz i got bye in the first round.
and for the 2nd game,
i was supposed to meet shuiyen, fellow team mate.
so we decided that i shall walk over this time, coz she walked over me last year.

and for doubles, i partnered xiang yun
she was supposed to go for the vietnam trip,
but ntu screwed her last minutes.
we dint get to train together and lost to meibei and yuru !
so paiseh, we had totally zero coordination in court.

and for mixed doubles, i partner tongdee.
we met some ex-national player plus his singapore sports school partner.
close fight but we still lost.
but not bad an achievement for me,
since thats my first ever mixed doubles game :)

last night, after the st nicks boxing dae gathering..
i went to char's place to pick up boylie and sharpertooth.
i forgot bout them coz of poko's emergency on fridae morning.
kerm was really sad,
she thot i left them with char when i left for vietnam..
coz i couldnt trust her to take care of them !

hohohoohh.
wad a silly sister of mine.

but anywae,
when i entered char's room,
i heard many many rabbiddie noises coming from behind her curtains.
hey hey, wad's happening behind the curtains??
char said that graham have been fighting with muffin all night..

i decided to take a look, and guess wad i saw !!
that silly mummy of all rabbits got her head stuck in char's curtain !!
and she got freaked out and started hopping around to save her head..
and the more she hopped around, the more the curtain twisted around her neck !!
tightening, choking her and freaking her out even more !!!

that poor mummy of all rabbits :(
she was so frightened, she kept thumping to warn her babies of danger.
i've never seen her thumped since 6months ago !!
so in the end, naughty kerly decided to cut char's curtain up !!
hohohohoh.

poor char :(
chewed up boxes, cut up curtains, stinky room, shitty balcony..
all becoz of the naughty buns.

anywae, i must say..
thankyouverymuch char.
for taking care of the rabbits while i was awae..
plus, very good that you managed to fatten up the buns !!
esp. tummy, he's so fat now !!

oh happiness, i think i shall post some old pics of the buns.
