my family have such a funny wae of celebrating things.
1am, my mum and dad decided to take a drive out for supper.
they decided to try their luck at casuarina becoz my dad felt like eating crab.
and happiness is wad they felt when they found that ban leong wah was still open !
and so they ordered alot of food, den suddenly they realised,
"darn, we cant finish all these food !!"
and so my parents had no choice but to call the children for help !!
the 3 of us hurried over and yummy yum yum, we helped finish the crab !!
wad a fun family supper cum vesak dae celebration !
oh, now i'm craving for the esplanade's No Sign Board's chilli crab !!

so it started with me burning shows onto vcds.
i hate watching shows on the comp, it hurts my eyes.
so anywae, pple heard that i had copies of shows on vcd and asked to borrow.
and its really ok if you borrow and return,
but apparently, my frens are not very good at returning things.
so now i'm pissed coz a couple of frens really pist me off big time !
it started with A.
A wanted to borrow a drama serial from me,
i had burnt all 4seasons onto vcd.
so A msg me.
A: hey, i heard you have XXX on vcd, can i borrow?
kerly: sure, but its with another fren now.
A: oh no, but i really wanna watch it.
kerly: ok, tell you wad, i'll try to contact my other fren.
kerly: as soon as i get the vcd back from her, i'll contact you.
A: oh thanks !!
the next dae,
A: hey, have you gotten the vcds back yet?
the next next dae,
A: hey, i really wanna watch the show, can you get it back soon?
the next few daes and weeks
A: hey is it back yet? i really wanna watch the show !
slowly by slowly, i started getting real pissed with A's lack of EQ !!
each time she asks for it, i'll nicely explain to her that i havent gotten it back.
i mean, its really not easy to get things back from people,
esp from frens that you hardly meet up with.
in the end, it was..
kerly: hi A, i understand that you really really wanna watch that show.
kerly: but i've school, i'm in clinic all dae, i've posting tests to study for, training to atttend
kerly: i've no time to get my vcd back
kerly: plus, i've contacted my fren many many many times already
kerly: she's not replying too.
kerly: its not that i dun wanna lend you the vcds, i just dun have it with me now.
kerly: my fren stays in the east, if you wann it that desperately,
kerly: why dun i give you her number and address and you can get it back from her?
A: oh, she stays in the east? erm, can you get it from her den i meet you to take it?
argh, fucking annoying !
so anywae, i finally managed to get back my vcds and lent it to A.
todae, she msg me asking for season4.
A: hey, i've finished season 1-3, its really good. hmm, i heard there's season4. can i borrow?
kerly: yar sure, i've season4 but the first 5episodes are missing.
A: erm, den can you find it? get it? or burn another copy of it?
kerly: yar, i've been searching but i really cant find it. do you wann the rest of the season first?
A: erm, i really wanna watch it, can you find it den let me know?
by this time, i was absolutely pissed off with her,
and have decided not to answer anymore of her sickening, anger-inducing msges.
i mean, what the fuck man !!!
here you are tryin to borrow something from me and i've to do all the shit for you?

and another thing,
i'm doing you a favour by lending you my stuff,
the least you could do is to return it on time.
or even better, not lose or destroy any part of it.
so here's the second part of the story.
as A wanted the vcds, i had to contact B for my discs.
kerly: hey, are you done with XXX yet? my other fren wanna borrow leh.
B: oh i'm sorry. i borrowed it on behalf of C. so its with her now.
kerly: ok, so can you help me take it back?
B: hmm, why dun you contact her straight? it would be faster that wae.
see, B is my fren. i know C but i'm not close to C at all.
afterall, i only got to know C thru B.
so anywae, i decided, yes i shud contact C directly if i wann the discs back asap,
becoz there's A msging me almost everydae !!!
argh.
kerly: hey C, i heard from B that my XXX is with you.
C: oh yar, i was with me. but i thot you watched it already and werent in a hurry to get it back
C: so i lent it to D
kerly: huh? so its with D now?
and again, i only know D thru C, which i know thru B.
so yes, technically speaking, i do know D. but only by face.
becoz D is C's fren and i only know C thru B.
so as annoyed as i am already,
kerly: hmm, so how can i contact D to get back my vcds?
C: oh no, D is overseas now.
kerly: ok, so when will she be back?
C: hmm, actually she's awae on a 6months student exchange. she just left
kerly: wad???
kerly: is there any wae i can get my vcds back soon?
C: erm, ok.. i'll try to contact her via email/msn.
and so i waited for C's reply on that matter.
wait a few daes never mind, i dint wanna behave like A.
so i only msged her once and den waited for her to contact D and get back to me.
finally, after many many many dae,
C: ok, i've contacted D, its at her house. i'll go down and get it for you.
kerly: den how do we meet? will you be in nus one of these daes?
C: actually no. ok, i'll pass it to B den she'll pass it to you ok?
yupp, so poor kerly had no choice but to wait again, for many many many daes.
finally, the vcds was with B.
den again, had to arrange to meet up with B.
after many failed meet ups, we finally met up and i finally got my vcds back.
haii, so much work just to lend it to A.
so before i lent it to A,
i decided to rearrange the vcds, becoz i saw that it was not in order.
was actually pretty pissed off over that too.
i mean, you borrow my vcds, i lent it to you in nicely arranged order,
from S1E1-12, den S2E1-13, den S3E1-13 and S4E1-5
and now, you return it all to me in a mess?
but ok, i shall not get angry coz at least its back with me now.
so i took out the discs to sort them out.
and to my horror,
there were 2 broken discs.
man, that really pissed me off real big !
breaking my discs is no big deal if you had told me bout it.
i mean, a cd cost only 30cents?
i dun really care bout the disc so much.
but to break my disc, not tell me and attempt to conceal it,
by hiding it at the bottom of the entire stack of vcds?
thats too much man !!!
and also, 5episodes from season4 was missing.
so i msged C again.
dint wanna confront her about it coz if she wanted to tell me bout it, she would have right?
so i just asked her bout the 5 missing discs.
kerly: hey, you know when i lent B/you the vcds, there was the first 5episodes of season4.
kerly: now its missing. is it still with you?
C: no, i dun have it.
kerly: are you sure? can you check? coz i'm really sure it was all together when i lent it to B/you
C: yar, i dunno but i really dun have.
argh.
so how? now got missing discs and no one wants to own up.
and i've still have A bugging me till no end bout season4.
argh, really bloody annoying i tell you !!!
oh by the wae, my prison break is still missing.
and also, the many movie dvds are not back yet.
hmm, if i ever ask if my vcd is with you,
please at least let me finish my questions,
please think thru properly, before answering me.
coz this is the usual response i get,

argh, its so bloody annoying.

and with your quick answer, i'm hardly convinced that you even tried to recall before answering

so moral of the story.
do not lend anyone anything, no matter what they promise you,
"oh yes, i'll return by wed !" or "i'll surely remember to bring it next time we meet k?"
coz they'll say anything just to get it.
but once they have it with them, its as good as saying goodbye to your discs forever.
coz you'll almost never get it back !

oh wad a happy dae !
many reasons of course :)
the main reason is that my ortho test is over !!
hohoohh.
and it went pretty well, so i'm glad.
now, i'm only left with ortho mcq and OSCE.
so jiayou kerly me !!
i got prof low as tester todae, hsienmin's papa !
everyone said he was scary,
but phew, he wasnt as scary and mean as described.
he gave me a case, but the patient was discharged this morning,
and den he blamed it on the fact that i was late for the test.
technically, i was on time, ok?
i reached the Clinical Staff Office on time but they left early wad !
plus the patient discharged in the morning leh !!
so anywae, he gave me wengo's short case, which is super duper tough.
wengo tried explaining the diagnosis to me, after the whole test of course, but too chim already.
i dint understand and forgot the diagnosis.
but luckily the patient wanted to sleep, so we had to change patient halfwae.
you know, i was clerking her halfwae,

auntie: haiyo, i'm very sleepy leh. dun ask me anymore lah.
kerly: oh so sorry auntie, can i just ask a few more question.
auntie: ok fine, wad?

so i had no choice but had to tell prof low bout the sleepy & uncooperative patient.

in the end, i had a lady with poliomyelitis for long case.
and prof low's quite funny lah.
kerly: on inspection, i see an area of puckered skin.
kerly: it looks like a healed sinus tract, i think its a healed TB sinus scar
prof low: huh? wad?
prof low: an area of buckle under the patient's skin?
prof low: is that even possible?
(turn and looks at his doctor, and gave the "is this girl mad?" face)
(den he decided to bend over to inspect the back too)
prof low: oh you meant puckered skin?
kerly: yar
prof low: oh yar lah, could be TB lah. next time pronounce properly can !?!
and he's really quite abrupt but thats good.
this was how my last short case went.
prof low: ok, wad's this?
(points to the external fixator on the patient's thigh)
kerly: this is an external fixator on the patient's right femur
prof low: ok, good. when do you use it?
kerly: hmm, its usually used in open fractures when the wound is heavily contaminated..
(kerly tried to list more uses for the external fixator but got cut off)
prof low: ok, good. is this permanent?
kerly: no.

(and walks awae, leaving his doctor to explain to me that the test is over)

i'm super duper happy that my ortho test is over,
and that the holidaes are coming soon !!
after my test, i went home, watched prison break,
planned my shopping list with sister dear, arrange for mahjong tm,
and den went for badminton training.
todae's training wasnt very fruitful,
i dunno, maybe coz i was too tired from the test earlier,
felt like my legs were too heavy and i've like zero stamina.
i told my coach to be kinder to me..

todae, i'm going to blog bout my escape bunnie.
but first, let me congratulate my sister on getting her SMU scholarship.
she went for her interview yesterdae,
and they just called to tell her that she got the desired scholarship.
very good indeed, yippee yay yay !!
anywae, while naughty raisin was sleeping,
look at his face and legs, so dirty and soily !!
i managed to take some picture of the damages he inflicted onto my garden !
look at all the soil, its everywhere !!!
this used to be a pretty little garden,
with small bushes and flowers and taller growing plants behind.
oh look at the wall to see how deep he has dug !
he has already dug 10cm below ground level !
and this is gonna be his new home :(
when my sister had a pair of rabbits, a few years back,
they dug a hole and lived there !
and they even gave birth to their baby bunlets there too.
and she said it was saddening,
coz they rabbits were alwaes hiding in their new home.
this cannot happen to raisin and cookie :(

oh, what an eventful night !!
the traffic police came to fine the residents again !!
lucky my sister informed me in time,
and so, i ran out of the house, talked to the police,
ran back into the house to search for the missing car keys,
and den ran out again to move the car !!!
hohohoh.
the police had already copied down our number plate,
lucky i talked to him in time, just before he started writing the summon !!
and todae, cookie attacked the tv cable !!
so scary !!
lucky i stopped him in time, or he would be electrocuted !
and horrid raisin is all yellow now !!
he's been burrowing in the garden, and his paws are all dirty and soily !!
and worst thing is that, he uses his paws to clean his face,
so his face is all yellow and soily too.

whenever i miss my baby bunnies, esp tissue and graham,
i'll go thru my bunnies picture folders and be happy.
i just read on newspaper at the pet's corner page,
that this guy called desmond koh, has a 12years old rabbit !
thats really old for a bunnie !
an average lifespan of a bunnie is 5-10years,
in singapore, most rabbits live for 3-5years only.
i've alwaes wanted to send in my bunnie pictures to the strait's time,
to the pet's corner page on the sundae papers, like wad desmond koh did.
too bad i never got down to doing so.
but if i ever do, i'll send in my favourite picture of tissue and graham.
and of course, i'll send pictures of my lovely cookie and raisin too !!

yesterdae, i saw xiaxue and her boyfren at mustafa,
and the first person i thot of telling to it, was my sister.
but too bad she's awae in japan, on holidae.

felicia chin is very pretty, tall and slim.

we helped out at the colorectal cancer awareness outreach programme todae !
it was held at raffles city main atrium,
and they were invited to host the event and sing songs !

yay !
i'm home early todae !
thats coz we only had a tutorial from 730-930am.
i was so sleepy, i couldnt take it anymore,
so i came home early and slept all the wae till now.
so anywae, in eggciting news !
i'm going to watch The Phantom of the Opera !

we managed to get the $50 student tickets !!
coz on the dae i went to purchase tickets,they decided to extend the show by another week,
and so lucky me, i was one of the first few to get the student tickets !!
heehee.
we were actually willing to pay $120 for our tickets already.
wah, lucky i went to buy tickets 1dae later !
i heard that the student tickets were hot !!
when dehan and hweeying wanted to get student tickets in september last year,
it was already sold out !!
that was crazy !!!
coz the show was only starting in march 2007, the ticket sales started in august 2006,
and by september, all the student tickets were sold out !!
but of course !
the student tickets are super cheap and have good seating,
its only 1row behind the $120 seats !
yeah yeah !
good deal for us !
so far, everyone who had watched the show said its really good !

dilly wanted a handmade present for her birthdae,
weng made her a pinata, mimi coloured her a pretty picture,
diana made her a yummay chocolate birthdae cake.
and so kerly decided that since i'm kerlybob the builder,
i shall build her something !
no more tee-shirt painting, no more sewing !!
hahaha !
so i went out to the hardware shop with gerald,
and this was wad i got !
light bulb, wires, electrical wires and a 2-pin plug.yes indeed !
i've decided to make dilly a birthdae lamp !
and so, i removed the rubber tubing,
linked the 2-pin plug to wires, link the bulbs to the wires, 
and finally to check if the connections work !and oh horror upon horror !
mini explosion !
and my whole room blacked out, the 2pin plug died,
and my poor comp's power box fused again !argh.
very bad !!
so poor kerly had to refer to her sec4 physics textbook.
yes yes, V=RI, P=VI !!so change of plans, to buy batteries and baby bulbs !
safety first, no more direct power from the mains.
and yes indeed !
finally, a birthdae lamp for dilly :)

i celebrated both xuel's and zenia's birthdae !
we had a themed-party at my house !
it was decided by xuel, the birthdae girl.
she chose a CCA-theme.
everyone had to wear their CCA uniform to the party.
poor ryanboy, he's a polo player so must wear swimming trunks.but becoz the party was PG, he was excused from wearing his speedos.
dehan was awarded BEST DRESSED PLAYER !
becoz he came in his full rugby attire !he wore his long socks and ear-protector.
after dinner, we had present presentation,
wengo gave dilly BIG pinata !!!
and of course, we ate yummy ice cream as a cake ! 
and den, we went to play some outdoor games !
like, hitting dilly's pinata !
wengo made it too well, we hit and hit and hit, but couldnt break the pinata !den the guys took over and smashed it all up !!
cool beans, very strong guys indeed !we also had balloon twisting competition, and we gambled.
while kerly the dealer was sorting out chips,
the crazy people were checking out my brother BIG blue loud hailer!
i realised that i lose money at every game i play, except mahjong.hmm, the next time i gamble, its gonna mahjong and nothing else !
hah !
after everyone went home,
i went down to obar to meet zenia and the st nicks girls !
zenia wanted to have a drinking party, and so we drank !

rongs commented that this was the first time i drove so slowly,

oh naughty cookie got caught by my papa for biting at the fax machine wire,
now the wire is broken and the fax machine cant work anymore.
my papa locked cookie up in his cage.
and poor cookie is sad and sulking.
so adorable :)
so sad for him, but that naughty boy deserves it !
