rachel and i baked pretzels over the weekend.
we were inspired by this picture in the recipe book.
unfortunately, our pretzels did not turn out as good.but it was still yummy as ever,
because its full of vitamin L.
L for LOVE.
just like how xiaozhang used to say.
we used flour, sugar, yeast, butter,
and most importantly, the coolbeans kitchenaid machine !
yes, as you can see, we were really bad at making the pretzel shapes.
char's one was the BIGGEST, rachel's one got bad skin, and mine is small,
we made other designs too.

happiness is what i feel.
i must say, i'm really enjoying my electives so far.
learning things that i'm really interested in,
plus i've more time for my bunnies :)
but sad news is that i realised that i'll be missing my babies birthdae.
haii, and its all my own fault !!
i totally forgot all about it when i was booking my return trip from india.
booked it such that i'll be arriving close to midnight on june 13.
yes indeed !
my little bunnies boys turn 2years old on june 13 !
but no worries,
char promised to take them out to botanic garden on their brithdae,
and take alot of pictures of the hoppity buns.

in Hammy news,
my precious mother of all bunnies is recovering very well.
look, this were her horrific pressure sores.
pictures taken bout 1-2months ago.
and i'm very pleased to announce now that all her sores has healed completely !! only problem now is that her legs are still weak,
it had definitely gotten stronger since her accident,
but its still weak :(
oh well, everyone must pray hard hard for Hammy's recovery k?

today, i shall update on my baking adventure.
but first, i shall reply the tags i received from the previous post.
to anon, i get most of my recipe from allrecipe.com.
actually, i just search on yahoo.com,
and den choose the simplest recipe online.
to v, my metal tin has a removable backside.
you can find the tin in many places, including NTUC.

i wann to make the "white lover" biscuit from hokkaido !!

anywae, here's the recipe.

ingredient for biscuit,
(A)100g sugar, 90g butter
(B)2 egg white
(C)85g plain flour
ingredient for white chocolate cream,
100g Shortening
40g Icing sugar
200g Melted chocolate
Method
1. Beat (A) till creamy and fluffy，
add (B) well mix till shiny，
Then add in sifted (C)，mix well.
2. Put the mixture in step 1 into a piping bag，
snooze out into rectangular shape of 6 X 5 CM。
bake at 160 for 10min or golden brown.
Cool it before serving.
3. To make white chocolate cream:
Mix shortening and icing sugar till fluffy，
add in melted white chocolate and mix well.
4. Place the white chocolate cream in between the 2 pcs of biscuit

a bad day is when you get a long case like this for end of posting test.
1. an indian lady who speak only tamil or cantonese.
2. you request for a translator but no one else can speak either language.
3. the tutor gives you a new case - a deaf patient.
4. you end up having to ask her questions via paper and pen.
5. unfortunately, you dunno how to write many medical terms in chinese.
6. so you die for long case presentation.
7. tutor gives you a chance by having discussion with you.
8. turns out, patient had scleroderma.
9. topic was - complications of scleroderma.
10. i totally died.

next happy anouncement,
my grandma is finally out of the hospital.
my grandma suffered a haemorrhagic stroke and was hospitalised since last monday.
she was so ill that they have to keep her in ICU for a couple of days.
thankgoodness she alright now.
and, my grandma has finally decided to come live with us after her discharge,
she had always been resistant to that idea,
because she wanted to live in the house she shared with my grandpa.
thankgoodness she realised that its not safe to live alone anymore.
hmm,
minus the fact that she keeps telling me how they used to eat bunnies,
and that rabbit meat is very smooth and yummy !
i really do like having my grandma around.

HORROR UPON HORROR !!
kermin made me realised something,
i've spent an average of $100 a day,
for the whole month of march.
this is terrible.
it all started because i just received my UOB statement,
kermin: OMG ! your spendings are damn scary lah.
kerly: where got? i dun even spend that much, unlike you.

kerly: even if i do, i spent it on alot of small things, so i get variety.
kerly: not like you, one small coin purse already $150,
kerly: den still got expensive bags, shoes, clothes etc.
kermin: at least all of my stuff can keep and use over and over again k?
kerly: mine also wad.
kermin: really? lets see what you spent on this month.
kermin: so thats food, vet visit, food, vet visit, food, vet visit, food, vet visit, etc.kermin: so, do you keep your shit? and Hammy already belongs to you.

after 3 weeks in general medicine,
i think,
I'M READY TO TAKE THE SUBARU CHALLENGE !!

minus our 1hour lunch break,
mark and i have been on our feets for an average of 8hours a day !!
my calf muscles and soles are so numb,
its not painful anymore.
and in other news,
i've got new baking receipes !

i cant wait to try them out ::)
and after daily practice sessions at char's house,
i'm finally able to play guitar heroes on skill level = medium !
yay !
my fingers are not so hopelessly short after all.
